safe forklift operationTo safely operate Forklifts, Aerial Platforms, and Powered Industrial Trucks, operators must be trained in safe operation instructions, vehicle capacity and stability, inspection and maintenance, stacking and un-stacking, pedestrian traffic, and working in narrow spaces.

To ensure that our students are fully compliant with OSHA requirements, Karl Environmental’s comprehensive training classes consist of three main parts:

  1. Class-based training on how to perform a pre-operations check, locate the vehicle’s operator manual, perform a function test of the lift, and perform an inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  2. Hands-on demonstration of the safe operating procedures for each type of lift.
  3. Evaluation of the students’ ability to operate each type of vehicle.

Driver and Operator Certification

We train our students in the use of Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Aerial Boom Lifts and Telehandlers in full accordance with OSHA standard 1910.178(l).

Following successful completion of the class, students will receive a Certificate of Training in addition to a wallet-sized Training Card showing the types of vehicles the student is certified to operate.
