Do Your Employees Need Forklift Training?

Forklift Training, Karl Environmental Group provides safety consulting to PA and NJ. Our services include lead water testing, asbestos testing and asbestos abatement, environmental site assessment, lead paint inspection, mold sampling, industrial hygene, and other environmental consulting services. We also provide various certifications such as OSHA HAZWOPER certification, General Industry certification, Construction Industry certification, EPA Lead Renovator Certification, First Aid certification, and basic lief support courses.

To make sure the workplace is safe and employees are out of harm’s way, any employee looking to operate a forklift must go through a four-hour forklift training class that can be provided by Karl Environmental. This training provides a general sense that nobody will be harmed when a certified forklift driver is behind the controls of your equipment. Located at our test center in Reading, Pennsylvania, Karl Environmental allows the use of equipment and materials for certification testing.

Employees who attend the class will not only watch, but must show a hands-on demonstration of the forklift itself by showing complete operations. These include, but are not limited to, movements with the forklift, carrying cargo on the fork, unloading cargo and showing techniques to guarantee safety around others while following the rules in place. This training gives bosses the knowledge that while an employee is behind the mast in the cab enclosure, they are fully capable of completing the job while being aware of his or her own surroundings regarding other people and objects.

When the workers are not performing hands-on training, they will have to complete a class that, besides going over more safety precautions and rules, will make them show how to go through with pre-operation checks, knowing where the controls and guides are located, a function test based off the machine and checking out protective equipment and gear to make sure they are up to par. No matter if the worker can perform well with the machine, they must also show on paper how they can use these working machines to ensure no danger to others.

This class is a must-have in making sure fellow coworkers are not harmed while on the job site. If you are interested in becoming a forklift driver, check here for more details and information.
